layer : Mari Katou
character : Moka Akashiya
series : Rosario+Vampire
score : ***1/2

mari katou returns [ despite this one has already aged for months now, just that i'm respecting the sauce by not putting it up on display here until it cools down for few months according to +ophanium's display / quote protocol lol ] with a highly seductive / moerotic cosplay of moya akashiya from the vampire to rosario series [ ugh the gonzo take on the anime gave me pukable nightmares lol ].

like i've said earlier, the anime wasn't quite up to my preference however mari helps in rebuilding my interest into it, or particularly in the chara of moya. also just to note, there's another nice layer who went for the lolipop-ice chick cosplay which i'll consider on having her on display here :3

hey, that's one nice haku yowane get there though i'd love to see more of the sort of despaired look on her face, kinda like the one seen from haku in the famous chibi miku-san 4 koma series :3 and it will be nice if someone were to pair up wif her as miku and do the parody of miku unknowingly teasing haku of her added [ or whatever the term is ] weight :3

[ raw dojin ] fluffy amiami

FLUFFY AMIAMI
circle : Kemokomoya
derivative work : Toradora !
release : 2008
volumes : 1
score : ****1/2

OH SHI- NICE AMI >///>

[ this has been in my collection since mid january yet i am too busy to write on reviews etc due to work related matter ]

what begin as a little *cough*shaving*cough* [ >///> ] later turns out into a deeply erotic play between ryuuji and the moerotic ami lol. and since this is a raw dojin i couldn't write much on the story but the plot is roughly understandable since the author somehow were able to direct his / her works to be easily digested even if the readers were greatly illiterate in japanese.

the art is highly neat and well drawn, and the characters design closely resemble those of the anime's design which is a yay for me. the panels are well managed and i find it quite easy for me to navigate through em. also i would love to mention it here that i am so greatly in love with how ami is drawn / featured in the dojin, especially when she is depicted as blushing oh mai god that is so *nosebleeds*

Photobucket

the only thing i would wish for now is for this to be translated. but for the time being perhaps ye lads might wanna as well savor on this raw-get first as ye wait for the translation to happen :3

p/s 1 : i couldn't get any preview of the dojin up-ed here as the entire page was nsfw. gome2 v.v
p/s 2 : you can now d/l inuboshi sensei's always looking chapter from its respective review [ here ]

[ album ] maximum the hormone : rokkinpo goroshi

MAXIMUM THE HORMONE
Rokkinpo Goroshi
Alt. Metal / Funk Metal / Post-Hardcore
VAP
*****

THIS IS CARNAGE.

their music indeed is among the best and most insane i had came to listen til now, a refreshing blend of insane metal madness and irresistable moeroticness as mentioned in my buikikaesu overview earlier, that is. while its follow up buikikaesu may tilt more towards their root in metal, rokkinpo goroshi however featured a much more prominent punk, hardcore and funk influences as heard from most of its featured tracks. also, there's even some unexpected acrobatic twist injected into a number of their most notable tracks. i will try to be more detailed with this review here more than i did with most of my other reviews to date.

i forgot to mention this before that maximum the hormone tastes much like the band mordred reborn with a much more insane edge and twice the rage heard from the early incubus [ between their fungus amongus and enjoy incubus era ]. they are as fun as 311 and infectious grooves yet as evil as cradle of filth can be [ the most unlikely reference to be put here ]

the album kicks off with the title track rokkinpo goroshi, technically a funk metal track with heavy hardcore taste and a nice intro riff that later build into a hybrid punk metal get with a reminiscence of mr. noodle's [ of the offspring fame ] familiar stop go riff. on to the second track is houchou tl;tw, another hybrid punk metal track with a slight taste of ska and almost-technical instrumentation. nitro bb sensou is a cute punk / ska metal number in the same sense as kuso breakin no breakin lily from buikikaesu, but is wrapped up with a surprise honky tonk end that knocked me off my seat lol. falling jimmy and kawakita saruin were both punk driven tracks that is best listened to while skating [ take note that maximum's music may provide additional adrenaline boost for skaters ], though i assure you that both tracks [ as well as many other in the album ] were too darn insane to be played in open public.

the sixth track of the album [ anal. whisky. ponse ] is among my most faved track of the album. a straight to the face hardcore number befitting of its peculiar title. initially i was expecting for an electronic dance twist heard from bikini. sports. ponchin but instead i get total hardcore madness all the way v.v. rock bankuruwase is another hardcore number of the same recipe as anal but as the song progresses deeper it once again took form as a hybrid punk metal insanity as most other did within the album. next is high yani. supein which surprised me off my seat as it opens itself with a wicked death metal grunt + riff but later devolved into the band's signature funk metal / post-hardcore style. my second highlight of the album came in the form of uehara ~futoshi~; an awesome funkcore / metal number with the most awesome bass get evar heard from the album that throws me into the sea of thumbs up. following close is rei tl;tw, my third highlight of the album and the most wt- track off the album. just when i greatly enjoy myself on the song's metalcore madness suddenly the track took a surprising rock steady [ a branch of jamaican reggae ] twist [ highly reminiscent of innercircle ], once again knocking me off my seat. damn, that was soooo unexpected and hell yeah i'm lovin it :3

rolling 1000toon is another awesome funk metal / punk metal hybrid track with the band's signature high speed rap and delicous slap bass get from their awesome bassist, at times i came to feel that the vocals in this very track is pretty much similar to those of orange range's, but not close enough to be labelled as a direct copy. the second ending track rock 'n' roll. cheensoo opens with delicous wah wah, a fun ska metal track that i seriously enjoy enough to be hailed as my fourth highlight off the album, but is later raped by their usual hardcore insanity lol. i see, these folks must've been enjoying themselves raeping their own songs to the extreme they could take lol. and so the album closes itself with a brief but beautiful piano pop song [ minus all the insanity heard from the previous 12 numbers, and fear not, is not a trap :3 ] featuring their only female member on the vocal and a quick blues get at the end of the track.

varied progression and surprise acrobatic manuever[s] is maximum the hormone's main strength and their most unique aspect to detail which puts them on a class of their own. also noteworthy to note is the vocalist's high pitched, high speed rap that helps in giving their music a sense of hinamizawan rage as well as their tendency to [ extremely ] raep as much musical style as possible without giving damn on what others may think of their blasphemous conduct :3

[ album ] maximum the hormone : buiikikaesu

MAXIMUM THE HORMONE
Buiikikaesu
Alt. Metal / Funk Metal / Post-Hardcore
VAP
*****

THIS IS MADNESS. NO. THIS IS HINAMIZAWA !

maximum the hormone's music is the audio personification of the great village of nice boats and killer lolis. the [ very ] befitting music for you to listen to while in the mood for an omochikaeri / uso-da !!!1 rampage, and randomly swinging that huge-arse cleaver ye had in hand.

their music intriguingly sounded as if it has been blessed by the moelicious hinamizawan deity hanyuu to become the heroic rage theme for the great six heroes of hinamizawa. i must frankly say that their music indeed is godly from my audio perspective, its unmatched uniqueness came from the band's successive merging of both lolicious cuteness and the gurocious madness of oyashirosama into their exotic blend of metal music, redefining the genre into something that is beyond my imagination [ another instance of this is when i first came to listen to meshuggah and the dillinger escape plan ]

there's bucketful of delicious funk moments sprinkled here and there [ pay extra attention to the awesome slap bass get ], seasoned with pinches of ska [ kuso breakin no breakin lily ], almost technical mathcore / hardcore [ shimi / what's up, people ?! / zetsubou billy ], enka [ shimi; the song at first reminds me of the awesome enka rock ensemble inugami circus dan ] and electronic dance music [ bikini. sports. ponchin / koi no mega lover ] to taste, while at times you might also came to stumble over brief grungy [ shimi ] and / or punk progression which as well adds into their pool of musical madness. cute intros such as those heard from kuso breakin no breakin lily and chu chu were technically traps set to lure you into the depths of the sonozaki's pit of death.

the only thing that ticks me off is that there's hardly any double bass drums heard from their drummer, which for me is a must in order to complete the essence of madness they had in their music. take fear factory for example, if it wasn't for raymond herrera's breathtaking, defining insane double bass kicks-special the band will surely fail to sound as moerotically evil as they did with him intact.

simply put, maximum the hormone is too darn great to be ignored much like malice mizer, inugami circus dan, janne da arc, back-on and a great number of j-rock acts i have came to heard so far. buikikaesu is a work of epicness, even if they weren't an industrial band still i would greatly consider their music to be kaminalicious gar. and yes kamina does agree wif that.

p/s : check the band / album if you're in for bands like sick of it all, meshuggah, the dillinger escape plan, slipknot etc. btw i had also came to sniff a number of tool [ undertow / aenima era perhaps ? ] influences from their music. nice eh ? :3

[ album ] kitaro : kojiki

KITARO
Kojiki
New Age
Geffen
*****

the album kojiki is my first venture into new age music as far as i could remember. if it wasn't for my dad [ though i am not in good terms wif him for years now ] i seriously believe that i may have not be elaborately infatuated wif kitaro nor new age music as i were today.

...

kojiki is basically a concept album based on the ancient japanese creation epic of the same name [ i will provide a pdf copy of the epic in times to come ] and thus the entire tracklist featured throughout the album were built, shaped and tailored around the myth and mystical legends found within the document it was inspired from, or if i were to be directly precise, the album itself is a direct musical documentation of the japanese genesis epic. ironically the album featured a total of seven tracks, perhaps a gesture of telling forth the seven days of creation according to kojiki's genesis theory.

the music featured within the album were highly surreal in form and detail; listening to the album in a dark, enclosed room at the peak of a silent night will definitely conjures forth the mystical essence and atmosphere from within its seven tracks. each and every notes representing kojiki's music were so ornate in its writing that you will surrealistically came to feel as if you are there witnessing the rise and bloom of the land now known as japan.

i highly suggest for ye folks to give the album a listen / play on your every thought consuming / creative process which demands for high amount of focus and concentration.

intermission : let's talk yuri

Photobucket

okay. a lot of ye peeps must've known by now that i greatly love yuri, more so than straight pairings or any other pairings around [ i can tolerate safe BLs, but not explicit yaoi ]. history-wise, i first came to fancy yuri after watching kannazuki no miko which ironically was my first yuri anime, followed by the cowboylicious bakuretsu tenshi and the legendary nanoha mythos. surprisingly, i never had any awkwardness when i first came to experience them yuri animes. instead i find the yuriness to be exotically beautiful from the get go and since than i had begun pursuing as much nice yuri titles i could from teh internets.

this fetish of mine would later grow bigger as i get to bump into them dojins, especially those which amplifies the yuriness of existing yuri couples [ nanoha x fate for example ] or establishing the originally obscured yuriyuriness from non-yuri series such as konata x kagami of the lucky star fame. and it is thanks to some of these fantastic dojins that my love over yuri became extremely severe beyond recovery xD. long story short, now let's move on to my personal fave list of yuris, some of which were literally fan-made and may not appear canonical to their original work.

01. CHIKANE HIMEMIYA X HIMEKO KURUSUGAWA
[ series : kannazuki no miko ]
my number one yuri couple ever, and is yet to be rivalled by any within my list. despite the lukewarm quality of the series from where they had came from [ kannazuki no miko went nice and promising at first but later the plot, storytelling and misc went shaky and later downhill ] still i can never shake off the yurilicious tragic love story between the two.

02. KAON OF THE MOON SPIRAL X HIMIKO
[ series : kyoshiro to towa no sora ]
a much more daring reincarnation of the infamous chikane x himeko couple but somehow is lacking a bit behind their predecessor. instead of having the elegant princess-like aura felt from the great chika-chan, kaon's character tasted and feels more like a killing machine but not without a heart. i am so not delighted at seeing her being sadistically manipulated by mika ayanokouji, even masochistically sealing her heart from her beloved himiko nearing the second half of the series.

03. NANOHA TAKAMACHI X FATE TESTAROSSA-HARLAOWN
[ series : mahou shoujo lyrical nanoha, mahou shoujo lyrical nanoha a's, mahou shoujo lyrical nanoha strikers ]
everybody loves nanoha-mama x feito-mama, from their lolicious nine years old era to their busty milf teenage get as of present. and i greatly believe that most of ye peeps has already tasted their greatness that it would spare me a lot from explaining more of the obvious here :3

04. MEG X JO
[ series : bakuretsu tenshi / burst angel ]
this should've been listed at the number two rank; however, following the airing of mahou shoujo lyrical nanoha strikers and my neverending love over chka-chan the couple came to experience a two-rank drop in their standing within my great yuri list. frankly speaking, there isn't anything epic nor groundbreaking offered from the series but it is the recurring yuriness of the two that saves the series from being just-your-typical-action-flick.

05. HIME / LILLIAN X REIRI KAMURA
[ series : kaibutsu oujo ]
not exactly official / explicit yuri couple but several noticable gestures between the two can often be misinterpreted as yuriness; for example, whenever reiri intimately confronts hime by seductively playing with her hair or by simply running her fingers around the princess' neck. i sincerely would love to see more yuriness develops from the two but this aspect were often neglected by most dojinshikas, or perhaps i am yet to discover much of kaibutsu oujo's yuri doujins given that its dedicated fanbase is quite small among international otakus, thus limiting their availability on sauces such as /rs/.

06. TEANA LANSTER X SUBARU NAKAJIMA
[ series : mahou shoujo lyrical nanoha strikers ]
i don't really fancy subaru [ klang klang klang ] on her own but if she were to be paired with teana then it's the other way around. although their relationship tastes more of the typical tsukkomi meets boke yet there's a great yuri undertones which connects the two throughout the series, and that's what keeps me glued to the series despite its draggy plot [ long training is long ].

07. ALITA FORLAND [ FALIS ] X MILANO ENTRASIA [ ALITA ]
[ series : murder princess ]
i am not sure why this one is ranked at seventh as they both deserved to be put in the fifth rank. perhaps my love over hime is so great that i came to be greatly biased over these two lol. a couple made of a killer princess and a clingy faux-maid sure sounds interesting to me, and hell yeah i am loving em, especially when their love is decorated with countless blood fest and gore.

08. RIN ASOUGI X MIMI
[ series : mnemosyne -mnemosyne no musume tachi- ]
another nice yuri pairing that is seasoned with countless bloodfest and gore, even so great than those of murder princess'. truly a love that surpasses time and space as both rin and mimi were immortals blessed with intertwining fate and trust between the two regardless of great distances and era; in the the end they will often find themselves in embrace of each other.

09. HAZUMU OSARAGI X YASUNA KAMIIZUMI X TOMARI KURUSU
[ series : kasimasi -girl meets girl- ]
the only yuri threesome in my list, and of all the yuri couples featured within this list this is the most heartwarming one if i must say, though not that much to spark out tears but still never should you underestimate the yuri greatness of this wonderful threesome >///>

10. KONATA IZUMI X KAGAMI HIIRAGI
[ series : lucky star ]
another non-official / explicit yuri pairing that is loved by many as seen from the large number of yuri dojins / fanarts / 4komas dedicated to the two; well you can easily score hundreds of their fanarts from danbooru alone, proving on how well loved the two is :3 what's more interesting of the two is that they both each mirrors the teana x subaru couple from nanoha strikers, an exact pairing of a tsundere and a playful boke... more reason for me to be all heated up lol.

surprised not to see series such as strawberry panic, mai hime and marimite made it through to my list ? well there isn't much place here to begin with :3 perhaps i should reconsider on expanding the list to become my top 20 or maybe, top 100 >///> well maybe next time. til then, have fun munching all them chocolates you get on chocolates day :3

[ fig ] haruhi suzumiya : suzumiya haruhi no yuutsu

Photobucket

Photobucket

HaruhiFigma-3

latest figma get of the godly haruhi, which includes a nice ponytail version of her. so does that turns you on yet ? if not please do so. ponytail-ed haruhi is seriously an epic overkill. also don't forget that adult mikuru has also received a figma treatment by them max factory.

[ fig ] nendoroid nagi : kannagi -crazy shrine maidens-

Photobucket

Photobucket

nendoroids were always so damn cute and has yet to fail in putting me into a state of [ incessantly ] moaning the usual chant of 'DO WANT', especially when nagi is here to stay. okay so can i have a zange nendoroid next ?

[ fig ] makina hoshimura : shikabane hime

Photobucket

Photobucket

oh lord- corpse princess now goes 3D. and look, those rampaging machine guns of her. nice, but it feels a little bit lacking of something which i am not sure of. well anyway, gotta praise max factory for even giving a shot on materializing her outside of yer monitor screens.
